Grijalva Congratulates City of Tucson on Large Grant Award to Address Lead Paint
Congressman Raúl M. Grijalva (D-AZ) today congratulated the City of Tucson for receiving a combined total on nearly $3 million from a Lead Based Paint Hazard Control grant award and Healthy Homes Supplemental funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Rep. Grijalva, who led the Arizona Congressional Delegation’s Democratic members in writing HUD Secretary Julian Castro on behalf of the City’s grant application, released the following statement

Grijalva Commends Improvements to Distressed Asset Stabilization Program

Grijalva (D-AZ) released the following statement today after the Department of Housing and Urban Development announced enhancements to the Distressed Asset Stabilization Program (DASP), which has served to purchase severely delinquent loans since 2012. In April, Rep. Grijalva wrote HUD Secretary Julian Castro raising concerns about these properties being sold off by the government at rock bottom prices to the same financial institutions that caused the housing market to crash
