Grijalva Praises New Round of Hardest Hit Fund Money for Arizona Homeowners
Congressman Raúl M. Grijalva (D-AZ) today praised the U.S. Department of Treasury’s announcement of the fifth round of funding for their Hardest Hit Fund (HHF), which includes $28,282,519 for the State of Arizona. The program funds target foreclosure prevention efforts run by state housing finance agencies in states hit hardest by the economic and housing market downturn. Flake Advances Arizona Water, Energy, Land Priorities in Senate Energy Bill
U.S. Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) today successfully advanced a host of Arizona water, energy, and land management priorities when six of his amendments to the Energy Policy Modernization Act (EPMA) were approved by the Senate. Most notably, the EPMA now includes Flake’s National Parks Access Act, legislation that will reimburse Arizona and five other states that advanced approximately $2 million to the National Park Service to temporarily reopen national parks during the 2013 government shutdown.
