Coldwell Banker Arizona Presents Program to Assist Homeowners with Underwater Mortgages
Torrance, CA – June 14, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — Thousands of Arizona homeowners are not aware of the many programs and options available to them right now, which can reduce their mortgage payments, reduce their interest rate, modify their current loan or help them refinance with a better loan, or simply save their home. However, a special program presented free of charge on June 21 may change that.
Spearheaded by a
group of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage agents who are determined to help as many homeowners as possible keep their homes, this free “Know Your Options” program brings together leading Arizona real estate attorneys, major lenders, Arizona housing counselors, CPAs and many others who will explain those options to homeowners who need help. There are options for those who are still current on their mortgages, but simply owe more than the property is valued at now, and simply want to reduce their payments; and for those who are behind in their payments and may face losing their home without assistance.
“There are so many options that Arizona homeowners can take advantage of right now, that we want every homeowner to have that information,” explained Yvonne M. Corrigan-Carr, a Coldwell Banker agent and chairperson for the event. “The attorneys, lenders, housing counselors and everyone else involved are volunteering their time to get this information out to the public.

There are new refinancing and loan modification options being introduced to the federal government in June, along with special lender programs. There are other options that have been in place for more than a year, which most homeowners have never heard about, including help for homeowners who have lost their jobs but are trying to keep their homes.
“Helping homeowners stay in their homes not only benefits the families and individuals, but it also protects our communities and drives the Arizona economy,” Corrigan-Carr continued. “This is a responsibility that we all share and we have to take it seriously.”
