CLUELESS! UNRATED, UNACKNOWLEDGED: WHAT Bully AND THE CURRENT GLOBAL ECONOMIC CRISIS SHARE IN COMMON

Phoenix, AZ – June 5, 2012

– (RealEstateRama) — Wake Up, world! Violence and suffering abound. The world is in crisis–crisis, whose expression according to the Chinese kanji, indicates danger/crucial point when change happens.

There is no denying it: The documentary movie, Bully, opened in US theaters as an unrated film, as ubiquitous as the current global economic crisis. Both are unrated, unchecked, unacknowledged. They are killing human hearts and spirits. Crises are the fabric of current global existence, exponentially destroying relationships and hopes for the future, paralyzing productivity and purpose. Crises are growing fear. The violence of silence pollutes, suffocating each one individually, and society globally, of the life force.

We live in a global community joining individuals and their collective groups by demography and culture. No one individual or group can afford to remain clueless. This moment of crucial change is a manifestation of the lack of collective consciousness and regard for the uses of freedom across all disciplines of education and living. Substantive change arrived with digital technology.

Since 2005, revolutionary social media further leveled the international playing field of communication. It’s a small world, after all, but not in the Disney sense. It’s 365/24/7, necessitating international diplomacy and cultural etiquette coupled with compassion to tame the endless chatter. Terrorism, wars, joblessness, melting ice, pollution, homelessness, famine, economic instability vie for attention with amazing scientific discoveries, untapped energy resources, opportunities in space. There’s also the endless matchmaking, bff’s, instant pen pals, just about anything the heart desires…and quickly.

In the midst of the current global economic crisis, the Internet is a potent tool for communication in much need of a human touch to prevent its misuse to the detriment, danger and possible dissolution of life with careless use.

The current global economic crisis is the world’s cry for help; its siren call poses a danger that is equally as devastating as addiction, suicide and violence of wars and murders. The universal worldly realities of poverty, ignorance, joblessness and hopelessness spike the fascinations with addiction, rages expressed in violence and regressive acts of hopelessness that often result in death.

International business leaders like Carlos Slim of Mexico embrace technology as the answer to educate Mexico’s poor. Slim is using his own wealth to fund educational digital technology for the poor. Slim is making human capital available in Mexico. Further, Slim believes job creation is most easily accomplished by small and medium-sized business. Labor-intensive industries of tourism, health care, education and entertainment are the engines of job creation.

Joblessness vs. job creation equals hope and elimination of poverty. Economic value can diminish the global crisis and restore the spirit of humanity.

Brazil’s, new president, Dilma Rousseff, continues to lift 20 million from their last decade of poverty with her mantra for the country: “Brasil: pais rico e pais sem pobreza” (A rich country is a country without poverty).

Clueless is becoming articulate, even in advertising. Current BlackRock ads state: “It’s a new world. Yields are low. Markets are volatile. Confidence is scarce.” The ad’s descriptive text reads: “In a world that is shifting and changing faster than ever before, providing answers has never been more important.”
Is there an answer? If there is, it’s global!
