“Cutting Edge Training & Education Through Hypnosis”: An Interview with Mike Lewenczuk

-

Phoenix, AZ – March 26, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — “…the thoughts of youth are long, long thoughts”, so wrote Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. Enter: Mike Lewenczuk : He’s been doing this thinking since his youth. Mike’s grandfather was a drummer; he

nce, Mike had been drumming Western style since sixth grade. Mike had also seen a live demonstration of martial arts when he was 8. At the age of 15, he took a martial arts class and realized, for the first time, he was really good at something. He distinctly recalls: “I could see and feel a change in myself.”

At some time, we’ve all seen young children in white uniforms learning to bow in respect, attending to the power of their breath, conscious of their posture and decisive movements, experiencing their “chi”. Such exotic experience for American youth empowers children’s energy and captivates their minds. Whether it was the natural high experienced in realizing his talent or his predilection to continue with Asian culture study from a tender age, the reality is Mike chose to single-mindedly devour every bit of knowledge he could discover in his small Eastern town. “I would go to the nearest Walden bookstore to find books on the subject. I would practice with a friend when we would get out of school.” Tenacity? Determination?

Mike continued to move through adolescence. At 15, Western style drumming transformed into Taiko drum interest. Mike says: “ I saw live taiko for the first time in my 20s and started my own groups in my 30s.” As an adult, Mike also went on to study massage therapy and became licensed to practice in the field. Then came the day when Mike befriended a Japanese foreign exchange student and subsequently had the opportunity to visit Japan. That profound awareness of the Japanese culture and generosity of its people continues to inspire Mike to return.

Throughout his life, Mike has continued to take “the road not traveled” and that, according to poet, Robert Frost, “has made all the difference”.

Recent studies in brain research and the concomitant avant-garde practice of hypnosis as a pathway to harness and tap into the mind’s subconscious intrigued Mike to continue studies in this field and become licensed in hypnotherapy. Completing more than 200 hours of hypnosis education, Mike states: “I enjoy studying and exploring the possibilities and various applications of hypnosis by observing its history as well as others who continue to take hypnosis to the cutting edge. I am continually impressed with how fast and effective hypnosis is. I like that clients can often obtain profound positive results very quickly. I have always been a fan of inspiring others to discover and actualize their own potential.”As a teacher for many years, Lewenczuk always experienced useful results for himself when teaching others.

Mike briefly describes the origin of the current meaning of hypnosis. “Franz Mesmer was one of Hypnosis’ forefathers. Mesmer’s idea was that of animal magnetism. James Braid later actually coined the term, hypnosis. Dr. Mesmer was a contemporary of Sir Isaac Newton who established the law of gravity. Neither hypnosis nor gravity were appreciated at the onset,” Mike reflects, “New hypnosis techniques enable the traditional 20-35 minute “induction” period to be reduced, when desired or necessary to 4, 5 or shorter minute intervals. This factor becomes handy when doing a group presentation or demonstration. Mindful that the

demonstration or “show” is not dangerous or harmful, but really quite remarkable when, in fact, a mixed age audience is capable of individually experiencing a trance-like state upon response to a “suggestion” from the hypnotist, it is amazing to consider how quickly and profoundly the mind can transfer to an altered state of awareness which is usually very relaxing.”

Mike continues: “There is a tremendous amount to be learned from the art and science of hypnosis that can be applied to business and communications. By understanding how the mind perceives, processes, stores and recalls information, makes associations, closes and opens itself to ideas, etc., a great advantage can be had when negotiating or just conversing with clients and associates.”

Mike consults with individuals, groups, associations, organizations and/or businesses who are interested to examine the uses of hypnosis for weight loss, smoking cessation, wealth creation, sleeping disorders, fear of flying or any irrational fear, stress reduction, enhanced productivity, and effective communication. Clients generally identify an area in which they’d like to see improvement as the outcome of the hypnosis experience. Depending on the person and the issue, the goal can be accomplished in one or more sessions.

Mike explains: “Focus enables a client to penetrate the mind’s critical factor thereby opening the doors to the subconscious world which is not dominated by powerlessness, defeat or negativity. Simply put, hypnosis is a technique which permits clients to redirect their energy. Sales people, for example, can easily benefit from accessing hypnosis to enable their own networks to align with them. Along with words, hypnosis focuses on body language, visuals, imagery and metaphors. Such imaginative contexts foster alignment within a collaborative environment.”

There are varied forms and types of hypnosis available to individuals and groups. Whereas some new to the science might engage in the stereotype that hypnosis is quackery, the opposite is the truth. Hypnosis is a sound methodology to empower the client so the person doesn’t always have to “try really hard” but learns an easier way to focus.

Removing the veil of always expecting adversity, hypnosis permits a clients or groups to experience their best selves “with ease”. It’s really so delightful that Mike exclaims, “When I meet a client, I know I’ve got a present for him that he doesn’t expect. I know it’s there to enjoy!” What happens? People become magnetic, persuasive, feel good about themselves and their lives. Mike describes: “A cashier who’s shagged out can in a minute or two, become revitalized. Corporate groups can discover better ways to negotiate, communicate and, (as AT&T touts) “Rethink possible”. Individuals and businesses realize what they are worth Of course, hypnotists are not the only purveyors of answers to gnawing problems of sleep disorders. Some hotels are now featuring a Sleep Concierge; Sealyposturpedic, Sleep Number®, My Pillow®, Tempur Pedic®, iComfort Sleep System by Serta, and others advertise the benefits of sleep in their pillows and mattresses. The point is: sleep loss is a problem experienced daily by masses of citizens in the USA. Hypnosis offers a safe, cost effective, quick remedy.

Interested in future pacing? Mental leaps? Reframing? Creative methodology? They’re yours for the taking. It’s this world of possibility that awaits, and Mike Lewenczuk can take you or your group on the journey!
