Free Fair Housing Workshop
Phoenix, AZ – August 30, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — Learn about fair housing practices and laws at a free workshop from 9 a.m. to noon, Thursday, Sept. 9, at Phoenix City Hall, 200 W. Washington St., assembly room D.
This workshop will offer ADRE-authorized fair housing REALTOR® re-licensing credit and is presented in partnership with the Southwest Fair Housing Council.
Sponsored by the city of Phoenix Equal Opportunity Department, the workshops will explain housing discrimination investigations from the experts who conduct them. Fair housing practices apply to apartments, houses, condominiums and mobile home parks.
It is illegal for housing providers to discriminate against tenants, rental applicants or customers on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability or family status.
Housing providers include landlords, leasing and real estate agents, and property managers.
