Free Fair Housing Workshop

October 8, 2009 – (RealEstateRama) — Learn about fair housing practices and laws at a free three-hour workshop from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, Oct. 15, at the city of Phoenix, Calvin C. Goode Municipal Building, 251 W. Washington St., 7th Floor.

This workshop will offer ADRE-authorized fair housing REALTOR® re-licensing credit and is presented in partnership with the Southwest Fair Housing Council.

Sponsored by the city of Phoenix Equal Opportunity Department, the workshops will explain housing discrimination investigations from the experts who conduct them. Fair housing practices apply to apartments, houses, condominiums and mobile home parks.

It is illegal for housing providers to discriminate against tenants, rental applicants or customers on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability or familial status.
