Dene Oliver to Keynote Valley Partnership Adaptive Reuse Workshop

Dene Oliver, noted industry expert and CEO of OliverMcMillan, will open the event as keynote speaker.

Morgan Dene Oliver is Chief Executive Officer of OliverMcMillan. Among his notable accomplishments, Oliver was appointed by the San Diego City Council to the Board of Directors of the $200 million San Diego Convention Center Corporation. He served as President and Chairman of the Board, and was the founding Chairman of the Expansion Committee, guiding completion of a $300 million expansion. The Downtown San Diego Partnership awarded him with the Founders Award in 1997 and the Humanitarian Award in 2001. He continues to serve the community as Chair of the San Diego County 10-Year Plan to End Chronic Homelessness.

Oliver founded OliverMcMillan in 1978, after practicing real estate business law. OliverMcMillan and its principals have developed and managed over 8 million square feet of office, commercial, industrial, residential and development and mixed-use projects with a total value in excess of $1.5 billion. The firm’s work has won numerous design awards.

Oliver earned a B.S. in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics from U.C. Berkeley, and a degree from the University of Southern California, where he attended the School of Law and the Graduate School of Business Administration.
